Music Video Jake Bugg Two Fingers

This is my music video that we created during our Level 3 Creative Media Course before progressing onto Level 3 Creative Media.
Our first thoughts and ideas on creating a music video was that we was really looking forward to it because we had not created a music video before.
The first thing we did on this project was all the planning and the task was to create a music video  and because in the group that I was in at the time all the students liked indie music we thought a lot of Jake Buggs Music videos because they are interesting and they tell us a story thats why we chose to create Two Fingers.
Other Artists that we looked at before creating this was Noel Gallagers music videos some from his latest album High Flying Birds such as Aka What a Life and also Stop the Clocks and we also considered making a song from the Courteeners which was Are you in love with a notion
Some of the exhibitions that we looked at were that before making this music video every year on a college trip we go to the Stockport film festival before we start the course to gain some ideas before the academic year starts and I have also had a look on the Manchester Metropolitan Universities website at some of the films that they have created.
The strengths and weaknesses of this work is that it cuts smoothly and if you compare it to the actual music video by Jake Bugg you can see the similarities in the video with us outside before Jake Bugg takes off to got to a gig and with the fighting scene in there as well. Another strengths is that there are some really good shots in there such as the one at werneth low and also some of the fly on the wall shots that are in there as well.
The weakness that is in this film is that in a couple of the shots you can see the camera wobbling slightly but apart from that I really like the music video.

Photography Nature

This is part of my course work for Level 3 Creative Media and this is my own personal developed project.
I took all these photos during Autumn because I was doing nature I felt this was the best time to take photographs for nature.
My thoughts when I started this work was I was very keen to start it because it was all new to me and I didn't do any photography in school and by the second photography Lesson I had already chosen my 2 subjects which was Graffiti Art and Nature.
The first thing I did when doing photography is research into nature photographer such as Eliott Porter and Jim Brandenburg and I also had a look at some exhibitions In the Manchester Art Gallery and have a look at some of the photography work that is in there.
When deciding what to take I had a look on the Autumn Competitions for the best Nature Photographs to get some ideas and I took these photographs in Hyde park which is right next to the college I study at which is Hyde Clarendon Sixth Form.
The strengths about these photographs are that they show all different textures in the leaves and also bring out all the different colours in Nature.
The weakness is I could have done some editing on them in Photoshop.

Photography Graffiti

This is part of my Level 3 Creative Media Course for photography I didn't design this myself these were photographs taken for my photography portfolio.
I took these photos in November 2014 I took these photographs in the Northern Quarter In Manchester as I thought it would be the best place to take photographs for graffiti in Manchester.
My thoughts when I started this work was I was very keen to start it because it was all new to me and I didn't do any photography in school and by the second photography Lesson I had already chosen my 2 subjects which was Graffiti Art and Nature.
Before starting this I looked on one of my friends instgram pages Called Joe Ladley he does photography so I had a look at some of his work I also did some research online and looked at some other photographers such as Martha Cooper who was a female urban photographer and I also again had a look at some of the photography work at the Manchester Art Gallery.
The strengths with this photograph are how all the different colours contrast to the suggestion box and I think all the different colours in the background are very interesting. The theories of mind with graffiti is that it catches your eye when your out and about and also can be really interesting to look at with all the different colours styles and patterns.
The weakness in these photographs are that I could maybe have used the technique the Rule of Thirds to take these photographs
